RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

~Paul C. Dahm

Lucy
I don't know what happened. One day I no longer had my home and ended up at the Lancaster Humane Society. I was there a couple of days when a family with four kids decided to give me a home. It was raining and thundering so bad that day and I was scared. I don't have much hair but I lost most of it coming home from shaking. My family took me in and calmed me down to the point I no longer was scared of noise. I was treated with kindness and respect for the rest of my life. I was told I was the best dog ever. Everyone who came over to our home always wanted to adopt me. I would lean on people so I could touch them and make them feel good. My Dad went to heaven before me and I missed him so much. When I left this world I knew he would be waiting for me at the rainbow bridge. I am not in pain anymore and I know you miss me but I too will be waiting to greet you one day. Lucy

JASPER
JASPER was our first and best cat. Jasper was my inspiration to help other cats. Jasper was smart and a special part of my family. Jasper died suddenly on Nov 13, 2007 of heart failure. Our home is not the same without him. We miss him every day. The Kamp Family

Tiny Tim
Tiny Tim lost his battle after 23 days of life. We took him in from a location in Harrisburg on April 22, he was just born and stil had his umbilical cord attached. Two siblings came with him. Tiny Tim died on Weds May 6, 2009 while in the good and loving care of Jen G. our special foster caregiver. Much love to you Tiny Tim.

GOMER
Rest in Peace Sir Gomer. For the one I could not save. Gomer was at a high-kill rescue. Unfortunately, we were not able to get to him soon enough and was euthanized because of space. Such a beautiful boy. He is thought of every day and, hopefully, is happier at the Rainbow Bridge. He lost his life at the end of August 2008. Many kisses and hugs. You remain in my prayers.....kim

Princess "Cassie" Bangert
Cassie~ You arrived at our home as a meer little pup in June of 2001 and left our home in august 2006 only 5 years later. You are dearly missed and forever will be. You helped many young pups along there way, you changed the out look of many hard headed people on your bully breed and you also changed my life dearly. We will forever miss you and forever love you you will remain in the hearts of many for years to come!!!! You are gone from us, but we know your spirit lies with us forever!!! Rest in Peace Cassie, We LOVE you!!! Heaven's Doggy Door My best friend closed her eyes tonight, As his head was in my hand. The Doctors said she was in pain, and it was hard for her to stand. The thoughts that scurried through my head, As I cradled her in my arms. Were of his younger, puppy years, And Oh...his many charms. Today, there was no gentle nudge With an intense "I love you gaze", Only a heart that's filled with tears Remembering our joy filled days. But an Angel just appeared to me, And he said, "You should cry no more, GOD also loves our canine friends, He's installed a 'doggy-door'!!!
