Tigger -# 20133 the gray Tiger
Died 3/27/2012 - Lovingly cared for by Foster Caregiver Stacey. Tigger was a young adult cat who never seemed to get healthy. He was a wonderful cat who was very much loved by his foster caregiver. We will miss him - he had sweet face. Bubble and his 3 siblings came to us as abandoned stray kittens that had been dropped off at AHDC and at that time were only a few days old. Although Bubble's life was too short - only 6 months, he had a good life and was dearly loved every day of his life by his foster caregiver Georgia. His loud purr and very affectionate personality were very endearing to everyone he met and he added joy and happiness to our lives. He will always have a special place in our hearts and we will miss him.
Moses
Poor Moses came to us from a former adopter in Harrisburg who found this very sick cat limping near her home. We arranged for her to take Moses to the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County where he was carefully examined. Mose was extremely emaciated, older but loved to eat. An x-ray showed a bone tumor on one of his rear legs - so large that it had eaten away a bit of the bone. Unfortunately Moses was also positive for FIV and it was determined that he was in the last stage, so after great deliberation and care, we gently helped him over the Rainbow Bridge, a very hard thing for us to do but poor Moses would never be able to handle surgery due to his poor condition and age. Moses is one of many cats we get in the course of a year and most often we can help them live out their lives in comofort, but sometimes it is just the right thing to do to let them go. We will miss Moses a cat who had a few days of warmth and comfort before he passed.
TRAPPER
Trapper was a cat found in Cleona next to the railroad tracks with his siblings -these cats were just thrown there -and Trapper had an obvious broken leg. Trapper was takin in by Patricia B. one of our great volunteers and vetted at Animal Hospital of Dauphin County where his leg had to be amputated. Although Trapper made a good recovery from the amputation, he did not do well after he was neutered a few months later and we believe his sudden dealth was caused by complications from a vaccine. Poor Trapper was not on this earth for long but we cared for and loved this boy cat.
PEEPER
This was a small kitten, full or worms, that we took in from the Steelton Community Cats Program. Altough he was treated, this little guy could not overcome his illnesses and died about a week after he was in the CC program. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
