Lovey - Likes Active Dogs Hi Annette I want to let you know how Lovey is doing. She obviously took your words to heart. She is a wonderful cat--we all are hooked. She is in charge and is very sure of what she wants which is usually pets or to play. She does like being held and will purr and cuddle with you. As far as the dogs--it is true cats rule dogs drool. Lolly and her were seen laying on the same bed together. Maddie our oldest dog at this time wanted to be her friend so bad but Lovey wanted nothing to do with it. We figured out she does not like that Maddie whines at her and Maddie wasn't getting it as she was speaking dog. So the one time she didn't whine Lovey let her get close and Maddie licked her which surprised Lovey. So they can be in close proximity as long as Maddie doesn't whine. Millie our timid girl just stays away--who knows if Millie will ever approach her. My guess is Lovey would need to initiate. Here is our first night story. After Lovey let the dogs know she was in charge and it would be her way she decided to sleep with my middle daughter in her bed. Apparently around 4:00 Lovey decided she needed attention so head butted Kami until she woke up and gave her pets:) So it looks like a match-YAH! Please let the family who found her know Lovey has a great home and gets tons of attention. Thanks again for allowing us to adopt her and for all you do in fostering cats and giving them another chance!!!!! Darcy |
