Benson - Loves cats and people! 1/31/13 - Annette: Benson has revealed a hitherto unknown side of his nature: he LOVES to play with Bobby’s cat toys!! He plays a LOT, and is very rambunctious when he does it. The other cats flock from wherever they happened to be just to watch him play with all the catnip mice, etc., scattered around the house. Bobby and Boots sit there and watch. Benson ignores them, mostly. You might think (as I did), that this would cause problems. Last night, Benson found the Holy of Holies, which is a ratty black fuzzy catnip mouse and is Bobby’s absolute most favorite toy. Bobby carries this thing around all the time, and plays with it a lot. You can find it in the bed in the mornings, sometimes! Benson found it and was playing with it furiously. Bobby appeared to see what was going on, and saw Benson with the Number One Toy! I thought, “If there are going to be serious fireworks, this will certainly set them off.” But … NO! Bobby sat right over top of Benson so he could see what Benson was up to! After a while, he then tried to play with the mouse, too. They ended up playing with the mouse and each other for awhile. NO problems, no hissing, no growling. Meanwhile, Boots has reclaimed his favorite sleeping spot, which is in the center of our small couch. Right next to Benson’s favorite spot, which is on a fleece blanket atop a pillow at the end of the same couch. For the first couple of days, Boots wouldn’t get on the couch when Benson was there, but yesterday he snapped and just got up and went to sleep. They both slept peacefully and now things seem fine with Bootsie and the couch. Bobby is much more like his old self, Benson is playing every day and Boots has pretty much remained the same throughout. Bobby and Boots are back to being friends, no problems there. Looks like we once again have three happy cats. I feel very good about it, because Benson seems like a cat who deserves a good home with some friends to play with if he feels like it. Larry P.S. Bobby and Boots are also both from Castaway Critters, so the whole household – catwise – can be traced back to your organization. THREE success stories!
Buster - Best playmate ever! 8/7/12 - We're so happy that Buster came into our life! Buster's profile tagged him as the "best playmate ever" and we definilty agree. He seemlessly joined our household and is such a blessing to our entire family. Buster loves playing with the girls, chasing balls and just being everywhere we are. We're so grateful to have his companionship and we're so glad he's joined our family! We love this little guy! Adopting an adult dog has so many benefits (no potty training needed, manners already established, etc) and we would suggest that everyone considers that option. Thank you, Castaway Critters, for introducing us to Buster -- the greatest playment ever! Thank you, Jess!! Hope all is well! Beth Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
