Gavin may be not be as fluffy as his sister, Morticia, but he's the real softie. When he was rescued from the York SPCA and brought to his foster home in September, his foster mom grew concerned because a lot of the time, he would sit in his crate and shiver. The vet concluded it was a psychological thing, and prescribed a course of extra-strength cuddles.
The treatment was a success! Gavin is now a happy, healthy, fun-loving kitten who sounds like a herd of antelope when he comes galloping through a room. He is also very attached to people, and relishes being coddled the way he was when he was a tiny kitten. He thinks other cats are pretty great, too, and will happily tackle adult cats that are three times his size, hoping they will play with him.
His bee costume also generated a lot of buzz this Halloween: three costume contest wins! Gavin was not totally thrilled with his felt wings, but he was a good sport. When he decides to trust, he does so with all of his heart, and is truly a sweet little guy.
If you're looking for a kitten with a heart of gold and a joyful spirit, then Gavin is the one for you.
Kittens are happiest with friends! Gavin loves to play, so a home where the family has time to interact with her or already has animals would be ideal. Even better would be a dual adoption with his sister, Morticia.
He is up-to-date on all age appropriate shots and has been microchipped. He is friendly with other cats.
Gavin will not be adopted into a home where declawing is a possibility.
