This is Tallie. As of 12/26/06, Tallie was 7 wks old. He is male and he is believed to be beagle/spaniel mix. Tallie's sister Sallie is also on site and is available for adoption. Tallie was brought into a shelter as a stray on 12-23-06 and was parvo tested negative at that time. He will have received his first shots, but will need to receive updated shots and a rabies shots in three weeks plus continued worming by his new owner (remember that puppies need MORE vet care than adult dogs). He will also need to be neutered at or before 6 months per our adoption contract by his new owner.

If you are interested in a nice guy for a buddy, If trained, Tallie is a great choice with smaller children because he will probably not get large enough to knock them over by mistake.

Remember that puppies NEED training and we strongly recommend a puppy training class with all adopted puppies. When untrained puppies become teenagers, they are often difficult to control.Teenage dogs are the most likely to be returned to us or turned into a shelter. Early training can prevent problems!
