Versace-a life of blessings and tragedy
Versace's life has been one of both blessings and tragedy. He and his brother Venezio were accepted by Castaway Critters because of their urgent circumstances-- two five-day- old kittens dropped off at the York SPCA at closing time, to be euthanized unless a foster home that could provide 24/7 care for these fragile babies could be found. Blessedly, it was found! Tragically his brother Venezio succumbed to an extremely deadly virus, but Versace blessedly was spared catching this virus. For days after his brother's death, Versace mourned...he looked everywhere in his foster home for his brother, and then exhausted, curled up next to his foster caretaker for comfort. Versace namesake is Gianni Versace-the deceased Italian designer because of his foster caretaker's favorite perfume. Versace also wears his signature scent on very special occasions. Versace is a perfect kitten...friendly, playful, and gentle. He loves playing with his companion Palmer, who he grew up with, and is also available for adoption. Versace would have another blessing in his life if Palmer would also be adopted with him, but he can also be adopted solo. Versace faithfully uses a scratching post/pad and his litter box, enjoys all food, and keeps himself spotlessly clean. He is neutered, microchipped, FIV/FelV negative, and has had all age appropriate vaccinations, including rabies. Versace is deserving of the great blessing of a loving "furever" home, and you will be blessed many times over by opening your heart and home to Versace.
