***A very lovable survivor***
EasterLily can be described by the letter "L"...first of all, Lucky and Loss. She and her three siblings were accepted by Castaway Critters because of their urgent circumstances—5 day old kittens surrendered to the York SPCA on Good Friday, desperately needing a foster home that could provide 24/7 care, given the very limited resources of the YSPCA. Luckily, they found that home! EasterLily’s losses began when she lost two of her very fragile siblings. Then, she lost several of her nine lives by catching the deadly Distemper (Panleukemia) virus through an incredibly unfortunate series of events. By the skill of her vets, she is one of the very lucky kittens to recover. Because she couldn’t return to her familiar foster home and her brother because of the possibility that the virus was still active in the home and her temporarily fragile immune system, she was so, so very lucky to find a very loving and devoted temporary foster home to fully recuperate from the virus. EasterLily is completely litter trained. She is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FelV negative, has had all age appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, and has been vetted for and recovered from distemper and is now a healthy kitten ready for adoption. But as a survivor of Distemper, she has a very mild case of Feline Ataxia (hind leg balance slightly impaired, with NO effects on her mobility and overall health) and so cannot be declawed. EasterLily would do best is a more quiet home without very young children, perhaps with older adults. She gets along well with dogs and mature children. She would Love,Love,Love to have the great luck of being adopted into a loving "furever" home...and you will be very lucky to have this brave and deserving little girl in your heart and home.
