This handsome kitty boy is our Slim Jim. We rescued him from uptown Harrisburg (7th street), we think someone dumped him at our house because he was super friendly from the day we found him. We have cared for him ever since and took him in and now he is in our foster system looking for his forever home! 

We believe Slim Jim was raised around dogs, he is what we call a "dog cat" he's a cat but he has some tendencies of a young active dog, he is very playful and nippy when he plays like a puppy, he can sometimes play a little rough as well like a dog that doesn't know their own size. He does not like his butt being touched or scratched but he has gotten a lot better with this since he has been an inside cat and since we have been working with him. 

He is a super friendly cat and will just melt into your arms and turn into a purr machine when you pick him up. He loves to play with toys and chase his toys around. He loves being in a window and looking at birds and the outside. He can be highly active and playful but can also be a lazy sleepy boy who wants to nap all day. 

Slim Jim Tolerates other cats and could potentially have a good relationship with other cats, he can also be a little defensive and aggressive with our other fosters like most cats that have spent a lot of time being homeless. We believe that with the right care, patience, and attention he could have a good relationship with other cats and potentially cat friendly dogs, although it may take some time. 

Slim Jim is a great cat on the inside and is looking for a second chance in life, he's a young cat with a lot of love to give to the right family. If you are looking for a spunky quirky kitty boy to add to your family look no further! 


Slim Jim is neutered, negative for FIV, Microchipped, and will be fully up to date on his vaccines on or around June 28th and will be available for adoption after that.
