Gabby had a rough beginning as 1 of 21 dogs in a hoarding situation and spent much of her time in a crate in a garage. Gabby is now 12 months old (approx. DOB 11/16/21) and has been with her foster mom for 4 months. Gabby was renamed Blossom by her foster mom because she knew she would blossom in her new home. Gabby/Blossom was initially terrified and a flight risk and spent the first few days circling the perimeter inside the house and in a large secure dog pen looking for an escape route or hiding place. She still has a very timid personality, but she is an incredibly sweet, gentle, affectionate, and loving dog who attached herself quickly to her foster mom. She sleeps curled up next to her foster mom every night. When Gabby/Blossom first came, her tail was always between her legs and she never made a sound. She now wags her tail, barks excitedly, and runs in circles when her foster mom arrives home from work. She gets along well with the other dogs in the home and loves playing and wrestling with the youngest dog. Gabby/Blossom is fine with cats and ignores those in her foster home. Gabby/Blossom has never had an accident in the house and is in a crate for safety when her foster mom is at work. Gabby/Blossom was terrified when put on a leash for the first time, so she only went for walks around the house initially but now loves long walks on nature trails. She is frightened when passing new people, but is getting better when family members visit, especially when given lots of time to warm up and treats. Gabby/Blossom is truly an amazing puppy who will prove to be a loving and loyal best friend in a forever home if given the time and patience she needs. Gabby/Blossom is spayed, up-to-date on immunizations, microchipped, and tested 4 dx negative. Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Gabby is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter. More about GabbyGood with Dogs Videos of Gabby:
