Avalon is a really nice cat. Add she's a great lap cat who purrs up a storm! Not only does she lay on my lap, she often falls asleep there. She's a beautiful girl with lovely torti markings. But she wasn't beautiful when she was rescued by the woman who trapped her. 

Avalon was found in a trailer park in New Cumberland where she was humanely trapped, spayed, and vaccinated. She was covered in scabs with patchy fur, but thanks to the care of her trapper, she was successfully treated for a skin infection and anemia. Castaway Critters was able to take her into foster care, and she's proven to be a real gem. Avalon is like a relaxing day at the beach every day.

Avalon's rescuer told us she didn't particularly like other cats, and we've found that to be true. But she's amazingly accepting of the many cats she has since met in her foster home. She's the perfect litter box user. And she does have a playful side. I hear her knocking around little mice and balls from time to time.
