Volunteer Email List will be provided after you submit this application. Please note that our greatest need is Foster Care for cats.

By submitting this form, I indicate that I have read the Foster Guidelines and Volunteer Guidelines and understand all foster animals are owned by Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals. Upon my submission of this form, I further agree to the following foster care conditions:

• To accept and consider the dog or cat as a household companion, not as an outside pet, and to provide him/her with humane care and treatment, including proper food, water, shelter and exercise, and to give him/her a reasonable amount of time to adjust to new surroundings.
• To show the animal to perspective adopters and act as part of the Castaway Critters adoption team in promoting adoption of the animal.
• To become involved in my foster animal(s) adoption as it procedures from talking to prospective adoptors about my foster(s) and assisting with reference and vet checks as outlined in the Volunteer and Foster Guidelines.
• To provide routine and/or emergency medical/veterinary care for which I will be fully reimbursed upon proof of payment.
• To safeguard the dog or cat from loss or mishap. This means not allowing the dog or cat to run at large unsupervised.
• To immediately notify Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals at (717) 503-8371 or (717) 944-3255, Petfinders (800) 666-5678, Pet Watch, (212) 744-6775, Petline (800) 564-5704, and the Humane Society if the dog or cat is lost, and to make every reasonable effort to recover the dog or cat.
• NOT to give or sell the dog or cat to another rescue group, humane association, shelter or pound, or any medical or experimental laboratory or similar organization.
• NOT to change or alter the dog's or cat's appearance in any way, shape or form (e.g., cropping, docking, declawing).
• To immediately notify Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals in the event of death during the foster care period.
• To hold harmless Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals and its principals for any damages or injury caused by the animal while in foster care and to notify Castaway Critters of any serious damages or injury caused by the pet to the foster family or borne by another person immediately.
• To provide Castaway Critters, The James A. Hueholt Memorial Foundation for Animals 48 hours from the time of notice, reasonable access, and opportunity to retrieve an animal based on incompatibility in the foster household and to provide humanely for the animal in a confined setting until it can be retrieved by Castaway Critters.
• To provide information identifying yourself, such as a state Driver's License Number and Social Security Number.
• To understand that providing false information on this application is subject to legal action.
