Lucy Lucy’s Success Story Hello. My name is Lucy. I am 2 years and 4 months old. I am an orange cat. I came from a high kill shelter in West Virginia and was saved by Castaway Critters. My foster Mom, Kim, was awesome! She cared for me for about 6 months until I found my adoptive Mommy and Daddy and my forever home on 12/16/06. I was always the cat that got overlooked. My breathing is raspy which is chronic BUT I’m perfectly healthy! My adoptive parents already had a cat named Martin. He is almost 2 years old. He is a gray cat. Martin also breathed raspy which is chronic and is perfectly healthy so my breathing did not scare my adoptive parents. At first we hissed at each other but now I think we get along rather well. We sleep all day and at night when Mommy and Daddy go to bed, we start chasing each other and bounce off the hallway walls. Martin chases me and then I turn around and chase him. When we are done chasing each other, we’ll make up by kissing each other. Martin has this urge to clean me constantly. He has this obsession about staying clean himself and now keeping me clean too. I am still learning how to be trusting of my new surroundings but from what I see, I have nothing to be worried about. I am spoiled here and have everything and anything I could ever want. Thank you so much to Castaway Critters for saving me! I just wanted to write to let you know that I am doing very well at my forever home and with my adoptive Mommy and Daddy and Martin too Mary L.
