Boston Cooper (Boston) is doing SO well! He’s such a sweet and loving boy - so well behaved in the house. He was a big hit with our family at Thanksgiving - we had 17 people for dinner and he was more popular than the turkey! Here are 2 pictures as requested...we plan to take more and will send them your way. The first photo is Dave and Cooper with his doggie friend Lily who was visiting (he's great with other dogs, too!) The second one shows him enjoying a life of leisure on one of his 3 cozy dog beds. Take care and enjoy the holidays. Our Cooper is the best gift already! Ruth and Dave
Brinser - Declawed & Affectionate! 10/1/10 - I'm tickled to death at how things have worked out with Brinser! Not only did the approval/adoption process go smoothly, I was super-pleased at how quickly it all progressed. Your description for her really nailed it. She is super-sweet and affectionate! Rather than wait for me to pet her, she seeks me out and head-butts my hand for affection. If I lean down to kiss her head, she raises up and head-butts my chin and rubs my face with hers. At night she climbs up on me and "makes bread" like she's been saving it up all day long and just HAS to get it outta her system before she can go do sleep. She loves sitting by the sliding glass door and watching "kitty t.v." (the bush beside my patio where the birdies and squirrels play). I've been having fun letting her chase the "lil' red bug," too (laser-pointer). I have to watch her closely for "counter surfing" and showing interest in my parrots (especially after she's "wound" herself up watching kitty t.v.), but I'm confident that a few well-timed squirts with the water bottle will give her a sense of rules/boundaries). I just want to give a humongo "thank you" to you and Castaway Critters for watching over her until we could find our way to one another...take care... --Lainey--
Beth Ann - Maine Coon Lap Sitter 10/31/09 Happy Halloween! I just wanted to drop a line and let you know that Beth Ann (whom we've since named Tetra) has settled in extraordinarily well. As soon as she arrived she made a quick round of the house, then claimed a couch. She even slept at the foot of the bed for much of the night. She's shown no problems with food or litter box use thus far, and is totally unfazed by Xerxes, who's content to watch her from afar for now (though when she falls asleep, he sneaks up and sniffs her nose). We even gave her a bath last night, and she didn't mind at all. It seems as if she was already used to water, for whatever reason. I've never met such a lovable cat, or one who can purr so loud! She's a great movie watching companion. -Nicole
Brooke Brooke is now living in a nice big house with a fenced in play area for her and her new dog friends to play together in. She also has a nice big field to take walks in with her new owner. There is a doggie door for her to come and go as she pleases into the yard too. Brooke is now a very happy dog.
Bree Bree found her forever home on June 27th 2009. She has become the queen of the house. Her folks are enjoying her so much all they do is smile all day. She gets to go everywhere with them and enjoys the company of their grandchildren too. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
