Abigail and her puppies were found in an abandoned building next to a trash dump.  All were captured and taken to a very high kill pound in WV.  That is no place to grow up so Castaway met a pound volunteer halfway when the puppies had barely opened their eyes and brought mo and the puppies to PA.

Hank is the male chocolate and tan puppy in the picture.

Now they are getting bigger and ready to be altered and adopted.  We have no idea who the father(s) is so not sure how big they will get.  Mom is about 35-40 lbs.

Please note that behavior research has indicated that raising two puppies of the same age together might result in behavior problems and non-bonding to the humans.  Therefore, we will not be adopting more than one puppy to the same family. 

Their adoption donation includes spaying/neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and initial worming.

They are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.
