Velvet is a young dog and was given her name because her fur is soft like velvet!  She is a beautiful girl.   Velvet has an interesting look to her, for her right eye is brown and her left eye is mostly brown, but it has a spot of blue in it. This is more unusual that one brown and one blue eye to have a part of one eye blue while the rest is brown!  This sweet girl was abandoned, so she ended up at a high kill shelter in WV looking for her new home before Castaway brought her to PA.

Velvet is an energetic young dog that loves playing with toys and the other dogs in her foster home.  She would greatly benefit from a secure physical fenced yard and/or a very active person that enjoys outdoor activities.       House and crate training are improving; however, her new adoptive family will need to continue to work with her on this.  She is learning many things quickly and we feel that she will accomplish this very soon.        Are you the patient, active and caring family that she is looking for?    If so, please complete our online adoption application and meet this unique young girl.
