Jake is from the "Scaredy Cat Collection," meaning only that he's timid with strangers and guaranteed to hide for a little while after you bring him home. BUT, not for long!

Jake is a real sweetheart and has never had a home other than his foster home. He and his sister and brothers were strays in Elizabethtown for the first five months of their lives, with no one to take care of them--and no home until Castaway's brought mom and the babies into warm, safe homes.

Young enough to still enjoy play, play, play, Jake is old enough to appreciate the gentle attention of sitting beside you on the couch and be petted. Lap cat? Oh, YES! He's not one to jump up on the counters or steal your fuzzy slippers and run, but if you scold him for something, he'll sit in the corner or hide under the couch--and pout for a little while. He's all mushy--sensitive and sweet. ;-)

Jake is great with other cats and has a very easy, affectionate personality.

His transition to a new home will take some gentle patience; he'll need to be in a single room until he gets used to his new home and family. But, in no time, Jake will be the BEST and one of the most affectionate cats you could ever adopt.
