UPDATE: Haley is now completely housetrained and is doing wonderfully. She is such a sweet and loving little girl. She is small for a lab, but she makes up for it in heart. She loves to play fetch. It didn't take her too long to catch on with her foster brothers showing her the ropes. She is going to make someone a wonderful best-friend.

Haley traveled all the way from North Carolina, so she could find a family to love her. She is purebred AKC and CKC registered labrador, and she has the softest coat I've ever touched.

She has a very sad story. Her former owners wanted to use her to breed Labradoodles. Unfortunately, they found out that Labradoodles are not very popular in North Carolina, so they took her to their local human shelter when she couldn't make them any money.

Things are looking up for Haley now because she has found herself in the home of a Castaway volunteer. She just loves children and everyone around her. Despite all the scary stuff she has been through in the last week, she has maintained her sweet disposition. She gives kisses all the time, and her tail hasn't stopped wagging since she found out she gets to live in a real home. She is very good with other dogs and kitties. She just sniffed the kitty out of curiosity, but she did not chase him. She's been responding to a leash very well, but her new owner will need to continue to work on her training. Potty training is new to her too as she has never lived in a home before. Her foster brothers plan to show her the ropes and show her the proper place to go to the bathroom.

The new owners of Haley are going to get a wonderful loving dog who is UTD on all vaccines, spayed, and microchipped. The new owners will also be given her AKC and CKC registration paperwork. Won't you come see her?
