Nikki is a beautiful Dilute Tortoiseshell girl with big green eyes. She was found as a stray around the home of one of our Castaway fosters. There was an ad placed in the local newspaper, and all the neighbors doors were knocked on, to see if she belonged to anyone...to no avail. She was also scanned for a microchip but it turned out that she didn't have one. You see, the real sad part is that Nikki has already been declawed, ON ALL FOUR PAWS, and altered. We can't understand who would be so cruel as to dump her outside to defend herself with no claws. It's very sad.

Any kitty that is "dumped" outside, that is not used to the outdoors, is extremely cautious and pretty darn skittish of every noise. Well...with good reason. The foster gained the trust of Nikki, after feeding her outside for a few days, and she finally came up to her. Guess what? She is the most affectionate kitty and is starving for attention. When you pet her, she just purrs and purrs. She would really like a home of her own...with people that will let her stay this time. And, she really deserves to be loved and to love in return. She has so much to give.

Are you able to provide the home that Nikki needs? She won't cause a problem and would love to be an indoor kitty only...which she will need to be...NO EXCEPTIONS.

The foster that found her had her tested for FIV/FeLV, which was negative, had her vaccinated (distemper and rabies), dewormed and flea treated. She is determined to find this sweet girl her permanent home.

We are not sure how she is with dogs and other cats. However, there is ALWAYS a period when animals need to get used to new surroundings and ANY situation takes time. Please consider this when adopting ANY new pet.
