So what’s a beautiful girl like me, calm, quiet, social, walks well on a leash, totally house trained, get along with all living things (even cats) and a snubble bunny, doing looking for a home? Well, here is the “poop scoop”! Adopted as a pup, little over 5 years ago, all was well until a baby arrived. Although I got along great wiht the baby, my owners found little time for me. I was returned to Castaway Critters. For the first week, mom walked me around the yard, fed me measured rations and topped off the bowl with “Green Beans?!” What’s this all about??. After not appearing to lose any weight, a blood test was done.. YIKES! Come to find I have a Thyroid condition. Mom did check with the vet (personally I think she paid him off). The vet said she was to continue my “Diet/Exercise Plan” until I shed much needed weight.. RATS! Think they are all in cahoots! But ya know, it’s paying off. Walking 1-2 miles a day, playing ball, running the yard with my furry foster family, this Sadie-Sadie will be a SLIM Pretty Lady, Bikini Ready by next spring! Tonight, I took off on a walk… looking back at mom “Hey mom, can ya keep up with me?” Yes, rain, shine even darkness has not stopped our nightly walks. There is spring in my step, wag in my tail, grin on my face and new spirit in my life. That little white Thyroid pill is doing it’s trick! Although not expensive Sadieis in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.
