I'm a 5 to 7 year old male Labrador Retriever mix that was taken to a shelter in West Virginia in mid-December. I was loved my whole life but my owner had to bring me in because his dog allergies just couldn't take me anymore. This has left me all alone and missing my owner and family. I've never been so sad in my whole life. I was on "the list" ... the one with the names of dogs that ... well, we had come to the end of our time and from what I gather, I was going to be sent to The Rainbow Bridge where unwanted and abandoned dogs go. BUT then at the last minute the Castaway Critters people saw my story and said, "NO! DON'T put him down! We will help him!" So I understand I am now on my way to Pennsylvania on January 12th and the CC people are convinced some wonderful family will WANT me!!!! I'm such a friendly boy that is very well-mannered and calm. I will sit on command and shake - especially if you have hot dogs! I love to go on walks and be petted - I'm even good on a leash! I'm scared of very loud noises and it is SO noisy in the shelter!!! Oh please come and see me! I hope that I will have a home again full of love, warmth and comfort again. I'm already housebroken and neutered as well so you can take me home today! Let's begin our new life together! PLEASE OH PLEASE won't you consider giving me a place to live out my life? I am a good, good boy!!!! 1/15 - Update: Yelladawg has arrived safely in Pennsylvania and certainly is a wonderful Castaway Critter! He is playful and engaging! He is going to the vet's tonight to get scheduled for a teeth cleaning and to have a skin tag removed from his belly (nothing about which to be concerned, but don't want to discourage potential adopters ... so CC is having it removed). He is a very loving boy who is used to living with a family and will fit right in if you give him a chance! 1/15 - Update: Comments from the vet's office: this is one of the nicest dogs we've ever rescued! Vet confirmed Yelladawg's age at between 5 and 7. He is scheduled to have his teeth cleaned and skin tag removed on January 24th. He really wants to have his forever home lined up by that time! Don't delay! Please apply to adopt sweet Yelladawg!!! $150.00 adoption donation includes microchipping!
