Macy is a young lab/shepherd mix who has recently completed an eight week Basic Obedience course.  She is very smart, learns quickly and is eager to please.  Macy has gained a lot of confidence from her training and through some simple training has learned not to be fearful of the horses and sheep that she sees where she is kenneled.  She behaves well with calm dogs and is learning not to react to nervous, noisy dogs.  Macy is very affectionate and playful.  She walks well on a leash, gives excellent eye contact, and comes when she’s called.  She is learning to play Frisbee and loves the game.  The best home for Macy would be with a single person or couple who are active and do not have small children and are interested in activities that would include their dog.   She would probably be ok with another dog as long as it was a confident, calm dog.  She has been kenneled with a very nice Border Collie without any problems.   Macy is living proof that a little training can make a huge difference for a dog and give them a second chance for a long and happy life.  Macy would do better with older children.
