Saint Bernard / Hound : : Male Learn more about the Saint Bernard.
Sam was found as a stray in West Virginia and taken to a small, rural shelter where Castaway Critters saw his potential and sent for him to come to Pennsylvania where we hope to find him the forever, loving hime he so deserves. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was EMACIATED, his feet were swollen from roaming and foraging for food and shelter, and the inside of his ears were red and inflamed from being exposed to the elements and neglect. He was sore and exhausted ... but his tail wagged non-stop. Initially, he had to be fed very small amounts until his system got used to regular feedings. He is SUCH a sweet boy!!! Sam is approximately 4 years old. He is neutered, so someone cared about him at one time. He likes to "give paw" and he "talks" in lieu of barking. Arrrr...rrrr..rrrr..rrrr are his favorite words! He has had a good medicated bath, wormer, all his vaccinations, and was treated with ear meds and antibiotics. As you can see, he is looking good now! Sam will probably be around 70 lbs when he fills out. He will surely make some lucky family a wonderful pet! Could that lucky family be you? Won't you be a part of Sam's success story? Fill out the on-line application form and contact Sam's foster mom at vfinn77@yahoo.com to make an appointment to visit Sam! $260.00 adoption donation includes microchipping!!!
