Terrier / Chihuahua / Mixed : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Chihuahua.
Izzy is a sweet little female terrier mix. She has had surgery for a mammary tumor that was reported as cancerous but with 'clean edges', which means it was all removed. She has a clean bill of health but will have to be watched for lumps. As long as they are removed right away, she should be fine. However, she's easy to check because she'll be right there in your lap for a belly rub and cuddle. She loves her toys and gathers them up and carries them around like her babies. She thinks all the toys in the house are hers and complains if any of the other dogs play with one of 'her' toys. She doesn't do anything except bark at them and ask you to make them give it back. We are working on going outside to potty, but she is reliably pad trained in the meantime. She is a very friendly and sweet dog that gets along with all the dogs and cats in her foster home; and seems eager to meet kids. She plays with her foster brothers, who are twice her size; however, she does seem a little nervous around some really big dogs. Extremely sweet; well mannered. Wire haired; very petite.
