This teenage mom is looking for that forever home, where with a little sense of security, she will be your very lovable, devoted companion

Galizia is a very pretty grey young girl, possibly with some exotic breed mixed in, who we wish we knew more about. What we do know is that, during Hurricane Irene, she just went into someone's home where she had her 4 kittens and that she and her babies were then taken to York SPCA, from which she was fortunately transferred to our rescue.  How desperate to have her kittens in a safe place she must have been!

For a "teenage mom', Galizia was a nurturing and very protective mother.  She took very good care of her 4 beautiful kittens (Dad must have been quite a handsome, charming dude!). Her kittens have been adopted into loving forever homes.  

Galizia needs a loving forever home herself.  Living in a foster home with several other cats (including a large and dominant male that does not like sharing his home) has been stressful for Galizia. Her first responses to all these other cats are defensive and fearful.

She was obviously someone's only, and loved, companion pet (even if she was not spayed) as she is very used to all the noises and comforts of a home. She is the most intelligent cat that her foster caregiver has ever seen--she learned her new name within a couple of days, faithfully uses a scratching post, and is exceptionally clean and mannerly.  She plays as if she is still a very kitten.

Galizia would do best in a quiet home without young children or other pets, where with a little time and comforting, she will learn to feel secure. When she is relaxed, she is very affectionate and appreciative of all the comforts of home. She loves being cuddled and will sleep next to her foster care giver when she can.

Galizia is spayed, microchipped, FIV/FLV negative, and up to date on her shots.
