Hazel: a real people-lovin' dog needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
Hazel was a stray that has been roaming the streets for months with a broken leg. Her leg had healed on its own as she wondered the lonely streets, but because it wasn't treated medically, she does have a slight limp when she gets overly active, but this doesn't seem to inhibit Hazel's activity at all...she is very active and very playful! The doctors all agree that she is very fit and healthy. Hazel is very people friendly. She has yet to meet a person or child she doesn't like. She does have some other-dog aggression with certain other dogs, but others she will tolerate. She wants to be the alpha dog in her household, so she would probably do best in a one-dog household. She definitely doesn't care for cats, though. Hazel if very gentle around kids of all ages. She has been stepped on, pulled on, and laid upon, and doesn't even flinch. She is completely housetrained, but of course any time a dog moves from one home to another, some reinforcement in this area is needed. She is also crate trained if need be and will usually go into her crate when asked. Hazel is spayed and is more than ready to find a permanent home. She will make a wonderful family pet and will be a very loving, friendly, member of her future-family. She adores kids and is very loving and gentle with them. If you have a little room in your home and a lot of love in your heart, please consider Hazel as your new family pet. They had both said she was too strong for the kids and were uncomfortable with her and them together. Hazel will not be adopted to any home with children under the age of 10 unless the home has had plenty of exerpeience with Pitbulls in the past and is aware of their strength.
