Affectionate, loving boy.

PAULIE is a beautiful, quiet, gentle adult cat with the most gorgeous golden eyes you have ever seen. He had been adopted from Castaway Critters several years ago, and lived a wonderful life for a few years with a family, however, due to circumstances, they had to move to a location where cats are not welcome. Poor Paulie then lost his family, along with his adopted brother Ivan, who loved him very much, and the comfort of his home. This has made him very sad but we know that there is a good home out there for him.  PAULIE may not be a kitten anymore but he has a lot to offer a person or a family and is still young at heart.  He isn't a lazy old house cat and still loves to explore and is very alert and playful.

PAULIE  would make the perfect companion to an adult or couple/family that has a quieter home.  He would do best in a home with no small chilidren just because he does not like a lot of sudden movement or loud noises.  He is however very gentle around children and would in no way be a harm to them, he is just shy.  He did live with a baby (under age 1) and did fine in that environment. He is allergic to seafood and fish but is otherwise not a picky eater at all and enjoys both dry and wet food. PAULIE is a good eater and uses his litter box faithfully and is perfect in every way.  Even though he is a little shy at first and will hide until he gets used to you and he knows he is safe, he is a very affectionate and loves to be petted.  His former family described him as super loving and loyal.  And this is exactly what his foster mom has seen as well.  He loves to plop down on the floor or bed, and purr and kneed with contentment when he is getting attention.  He'll sit right beside you on the couch or your favorite chair while you watch tv.  Its hard not to fall in love with him.

PAULIE would be great on his own,  or fine with one other cat who is very friendly and laid back towards other cats and does not hiss or show aggression.  He is even better around a dog who is used to cats and ignores them or is friendly to them.  He had never lived with a dog, but adjusted very well to his foster mom's dog.
