I know what you're thinking: if this cat is named after Bette Midler, the Divine Miss M, is she a diva like her namesake? You better believe it, girlfriend!

I have lots of love to give and adore lap sitting, but I can be a handful. My foster Mom, the pop psychologist, has a theory about why I act the way I do, one minute giving wet kisses and the next putting out my claws. Because I was given up to a shelter when I was young and small by my family who had too many cats, she thinks I had to fight for everything: food, affection, you name it. Who knows, maybe she's right. But I am what I am, and that's a very passionate cat.

Having been forced to live with other cats, I've grown somewhat tolerant of them. But let me tell you, I'm much more of a people cat than a cat's cat!
