Laurel is a wonderful, loving dog that was brought in with her 8 mixed-breed pups.

Laurel is husky/shepherd mix and VERY friendly, very laid-back, and very easy to get along with. She is completely blind in one eye and partially blind in other. She does much better in lighted environments, but once she learns the layout of the environment she is in, she manages to get around very well. She is very tolerant and very gentle.

Laurel does fine with other dogs as long as they are laid-back, also. She doesn't really care to be around active or hyper dogs and gets annoyed if they bother her too much.

Laurel has some separation anxiety when she first comes to a new environment, only because she is confused and unable to see where she is. We definitely recommend crating her when you are out, at least until she learns to get around on her own and feels comfortable in her new environment. Once she learns the layout of her new home and learns to trust the people she is with, she is more than able to stay on her own without having to be crated.

If you are looking for a gentle, easy-going dog, Laurel is your girl...please don't let her handicap scare you...she doesn't even seem to be aware she is blind and gets around with the best of them.
