About Harold

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Current Size: 30 Pounds
  • Housetrained: Yes
  • Owner Experience Needed: None
This dog is really cute in person. Pictures don't do him justice. Harold is about 2 years old, weighs about 30 to 35 pounds and is ready for adoption. He's very good natured, loves people and seems to be friendly with other dogs. He's awaiting for his forever family to walk through those doors and give him a warm home and lots of love! Harold is already neutered.

Here is a current report from his foster mom:

We call him Peabody, because he looks like one, and he wags his tail whenever I say it. He is either a Keeshound, or Norwegian Elkhound mix, and I don't know why anyone would have given him up. He is fantastic! I think he may have been called Piglet because of his eating habits. He loves biscuits, and anything that you are eating. Don't let him hear a bag rattle or he will never leave you. He does not bark(haven't heard a peep out of him). He loves to play, and is very gentle when he does. He takes everything in stride. He is great with any other animals, and children. He will follow you anywhere, and he will lay down and be quiet, but his eyes are always on you. His only drawback, is he is a runner, and will jump a three foot fence. He doesn't really want to go anywhere, just get out and run. He could very easily be trained not to do this. He is truly a dog that you have to love. To his advantage, being the mix that he is, he does not have any doggy odor at all. This is common with either of the two breeds. He has had a few accidents in the house, but that is normal. He does know that he is not supposed to do that, so he will catch on quickly to another routine.
