Ice-blue-eyed
Tamarind has already experienced much tragedy in her short life..she was born into a colony of strays and abandoned cats and is the only survivor of a litter of three. Her ''grandma" appears to be a full bred Siamese and was most likely at one time a companion pet herself. Tamarind inherited her grandma's ice blue eyes (which a photo doesn't capture) and her Siamese coloring. When Tamarind was first rescued, her foster care giver affectionately described this tiny 1 pound, 5 week old kitten as "Miss Ferocious" because of Tamarind's feeble attempt to defend herself. One little hiss and then she curled into the hands of her care giver and just melted into a little ball of fur. Tamarind loves to be petted and goes 'belly up' to have her chin rubbed. She often falls asleep laying next to her foster caregiver. Tamarind has found her voice and lets you know it...she puts out this loud meow whenever she is displeased, which is quite often. She is starting to run the feline household (with her tiny paw and big voice) of her caregiver. Tamarind is still a little timid in new situations and tends to react defensively and slightly fearfully. She would probably be most comfortable in a calm, quiet forever home, that could include other cats. She is a 'one person/one couple" kind of cat. With time and patience she would become your devoted, loving forever companion. Tamarind is FIV neg, spayed, current on her shots, and groomed. She always uses the litter box, and is very well behaved for a kitten.
