Harley was adopted out as a puppy but was recently returned to us because of financial problems by his previous owners. His mom is Rotti/Shepherd mix, but Harley looks pure Rotti.

**UPDATE** Harley has a tendency to be protective of his family and territory if he doesn't know you. He has come a long way since being back with us and is getting better with letting strangers near him. He is very much a love-bug once he gets to know you.

But, even with this said, Harley has had to be taken out of foster care and taken up the road to the local kennel. Since being neutered he has developed aggression tendencies with the other male dogs in foster care. Certain female dogs, he can be OK with, but male dogs really seem to bother him. He will need some aggressive training to help him overcome this. And, if being walked in a social environment, he will most likely need to be muzzled until the new owner is assured that his aggressiveness with other dogs or strangers is under control.

I'm sure with the proper socialization and training Harley will make a wonderful family pet, but whomever decides to help this big boy by giving him a home, will need to have the time and patience to be able to work out his issues.

We do recommend that he go to a home with Rottweiler experience, and that he he go to a home where there is lots of room for him...he is a big guy!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

Special Needs: Highly suggest going to a home with Rottweiler experience. I don't usually like to restrict dogs from going to homes with smaller children if they have puppy/dog experience, but in this case, I would suggest that he not go to a home with children under 10 years of age.
