Russian Blue mix polydactyl

If you think this sweet-faced cat with an old fashioned name is the feline equivalent of the little old lady who only drives her DeSoto to church on Sundays, you would be very wrong. This young girl is more like a surfer chick who drives her Ferrari to the beach every weekend!

Mamie is a very friendly, affectionate cat who often rubs up against her foster mom as she follows her everywhere. She loves being petted and will even allow her tummy to be rubbed. She's also spirited and playful! That's not to say that she gets into everything, because she doesn't. In fact, she can be quite calm and contented. But she does like to have fun and finds it whereever she can: with stuffed cat toys, flies, pieces of string, you name it.

Mamie, who's probably a little over a year old, has a special feature: she's a polydactyl, which means she has an extra toe on each paw. You can see those extra front toes very clearly in some of her photos.

Mamie was rescued by Castaway Critters from a high kill shelter, which listed her as a Russian Blue mix on her paperwork. She's spayed, current on her vaccines and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
