Zoey is a very sweet chihuahua.  She has had a rough start and has no idea how to be a dog :-(  Dog food was not a part of her life and she was given coffee to drink!  We are looking for her to go to a home that has had chihuahuas before and understand the breed.  She is slow to "warm up" but once she does she will not leave your side.   I would not recommend any chihuahua for a family with children under 12.  She is definitely not a "dress up" dog.  She is looking for a warm, loving and stable home.
6/4  Zoey Update - Zoey is enjoying the dogs in her foster home and is really coming out of her shell.  She is definitely ready for her own little family now :-)
6/25 - Zoey is settling in marvelously in her new foster home.  She gets along famously with our other Chihuahua and Bichon as well as both the cats.  Her favorite playmate, however, is definitely the other Chihuahua.  They run and chase each other through the house, tumble together and even play tug of war with Zoey's favorite toy:  her squeaky hamburger!  Zoey is becoming more and more affectionate every day and I am amazed every time she jumps up into one of our laps, curls up in a tiny ball and falls asleep!  Although she has only been with us a few days, she has made incredible strides!  She attached herself immediately to my teen age daughter and follows her everywhere!  She is absolutely precious and is definitely ready to find a forever home so she can settle in somewhere permanently!
