Special Needs - Blind
Tillie is a brave and wonderful kitten who, along with her 4 siblings, was fostered by Castaway Critters. Shortly after her adoption, Tillie suffered a seizure which left her blind. Her new owners felt they could not provide the necessary treatment for Tillie so Castaway Critters had her surrendered back to their ownership. Now in a foster home, she is learning to navigate her way, knows where her food and water dishes are, has some difficulty with the litter box but is generally successful and improving every day. Tillie has learned how to interact and play with her foster brother and sister cats – they weren’t too sure what to make of this little kitten who didn’t play with toys but have since figured out how to engage her in games of “chase” and “hide and seek”. She loves sitting in her foster mom's lap while she works. Tillie still suffers the occasional seizure however she does recover quickly. The vet thinks it is possible she may grow out of them.
