Nate is a wonderfully calm little boy. He is content to lay on the floor at our feet and chew on his bone. He still loves a good game of chasing a ball and likes to frolic with our other three labs. We've had Nate around very small children and he was extremely gentle with them. He took small treats from their hands so gently it was amazing. He went to them and gave them kisses. I would not hesitate to place this dog in a home with children. He understands some verbal commands and responds very well. He is housetrained and signals to us when he needs to outside. This dog would be great for a first time dog owner.

Nate was brough into a high-kill shelter in West Virginia by his family, who were no longer able to care for him. They reported that he is leash trained and loves to chase balls and play. He is great with children and loves to play with them. Nate has a short smooth coat, brown eyes and a long tail. He doesn't understand why his family had to leave him at that place, but he is desperate to find a new family who will love him forever.
