Domestic Short Hair (short coat) : : Female (not spayed, but will be before adoption) : : Baby : : Medium
Elsie and her brother Bodhi love to play with interactive toys. They love being petted and purr away, especially when they are eating their canned food. That is a good time to have the ktiten person bond. She has the prettiest amber eyes that just stare at you. They will both crawl on their foster mom's lap for a snooze. She loves afternoon naps and purrs away while her foster mom reads a book. Give her a box to play in and she will be entertained for a long time. Their foster mom is hopeful that their adoptive people will take both home so they have each other for playtime and security. They are used to being around other big cats in the home also. If these kittens can't be adopted together, they really need to have at least another confident cat in the home to teach them and make them secure. Since they are young, they need a playful kitty too. It is not known how they will be with small children or dogs. Elsie is perfect with her litterbox habits. Elsie and her brother Bodhi were captured during a spay neuter project in July by a trapper friend of ours. They were living with a large cat colony in a warehouse complex. It was discovered they had potential to be house pets rather than put them back in the parking lot and field to survive. Both of them took a bit of work to be totally trusting, but they have improved so much since that first day. They used to hide, but now come right up to us. This kitten has tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is up to date on vaccines. She has been spayed and is ready for her new home!
