Edie was picked up as a stray and taken to a high kill pound in WV.  We found out that she answers to the name Lizzie.

Edie responds better to the name Lizzie. She loves everyone- people including kids, cats and other dogs. She is known to take things she want from other dogs, but does not get possessive, so you can easily take it back and tell her no- she just likes to horde, but will not mind if you take anything away. She is good at entertaining herself and will happily lay on the floor and chew on things. She loves belly rubs, giving kisses and cuddles- and a being a bit over 30lbs, she makes a pretty good lap dog. With her beagle nature, she loves to be outside all the time, warm, cold and even rain. She does pretty good on a leash- her nose is always to the ground, so sometimes we have to stop and let her explore. Because of all that, she would benefit with a fenced yard. Car rides are okay, she isnt a big fan, so she will just lay down. She likes to sit at a window and will alert you if anyone is outside with her barking. She know sit, lay down, and shake. She sleeps through the night and is happy to sleep during the day while you watch tv

Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming.

Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.
