Valarie is very active and so happy to be in a clean and safe place. The vet wasn't sure what color to put on her certificate since she was so bald when she was caught in a TNR project. Not only was she bald and scabby from flea allergies and emaciated, but during her spay, we found out she 6 embryos. It is sad, but she never would have been able to carry them full term or if so, with her poor condition, she might have died. She is a lucky one to be caught during an ongoing TNR project.
For a while we were calling her skinny girl, but she has plumped up very nicely and doesn't miss mealtimes!
She loves to play with toys and especially likes the red laser dot and the floppy fish.

She really loves attention and if you sit long enough, she will be on your lap curled up for a nap after giving you chin kisses and climbing on your shoulder for more rubbing. She likes being combed and loves being petted. She is great with her litterbox but we suggest it has high sides or is covered as she is quite enthusiastic with her covering.

She was found near a set of dumpsters in a trailer park and we are sure she was trying to find a scrap of food. It is possible she and another kitty, Carissa who was delivering kittens were abandoned when people moved out.
She loves playing with her nieces and nephews.

We found all of them during the summer olympics, so it was decided to name them after gold medalists. She was named after Valarie, a track and field medalist from Hershey!
We hope she can find a wonderful healthy loving home where she can try out her track and field skills.

Update from the bookstore! She is out and about and running through the place. She has been greeting some customers and has been catching up on book titles. She is watching the cars and trains go past the front window and is very curious about them. She is friendly to the other cats even though some aren't so sure about her yet.

This cat is up to date with vaccines and tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
