Domestic Short Hair / Torbie (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Young : : Small
Carissa has been the kindest mommy to her family of 4. She even took on an orphan when she needed a mommy. She has quite a language with them and they listen to her. Even when she was so thin and half starved, she was totally devoted to her babies. It took some time to get a bit of weight on her, but slowly she is filling out. She sure does love her canned food! She has tolerated the other cats visiting her babies. She can get a bit testy if she feels they are in trouble. She has started playing with the toys and it is fun to watch her being a kitten herself. She talks to the toys and carries them around. She deserves to play and have some fun. Life where she lived before could not have been good. The only thing we will say is that she is a really sweet cat and loves to give kisses. She seems to like men and does get on my husbands lap for some attention. He laughs when she licks his nose. It is unknown if she lived with children or dogs. She was found one morning giving birth near a set of dumpsters in a trailer park. Thank goodness a kind man from the park who feeds some colonies there took her in and kept her safe until the foster could get her. They were found during the summer olympics, so all the family are olympians. She was named after the surfer Carissa. This cat has tested negative for FIV/FeLV and is up to date on vaccines.
