Howdy all, I'm Jack! Yes, also a "Jack Russel" by breed. At 4 years old, 10-15lbs, I'm your "True Terrier", BUT, not a "Jack in the Box" bouncy bouncy boy! I'm a relatively quiet boy who is very loving wanting to just lie at your side taking in some late night movies! When I am left alone or out of sight with no way to get to my humans-I may protest with some barks and whines, but when you say "Be Quiet" I will shut up. In foster care I am "co-existing" with a cat, but best no felines with me....Too much temptation you know! I am an "Alpha Dog", wanting YOU to MYSELF, so I have snapped at other dogs who try and squeeze in on my turf. So it is best to feed me and keep toys separate. For those reasons, although I can be with other dogs, best to be a "single boy" who gets ALL YOUR ATTENTION! House training is almost there with a little watching as I perfect the "Outside Potty Thing". I was just neutered so the temptation to mark may soon be gone anyway. I do get along and LOVE to be held by visitors/friends. Kids should be okay, just have not been around too many yet. My leash walking is great! Still learning my way, I sleep nights crated quietly. Work days I stay in a crate too(would rather be with you. Car rides are super-no issues. So come on folks, with the Covid "experience" continuing into flu season, "This JACK" could keep you company during your isolation time...Cold weather time...and into the New Year! Jack was surrendered to a high kill pound in WV. Jack is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting him. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.
