Meet Miss Daisy, a 10 year old American Eskimo, who is as beautiful and delicate as her namesake! Daisy came to us from a terrible hoarding situation in Bowling Green, KY with over 80 other animals in deplorable conditions. Hoarder dogs are used to being with other dogs, but very nervous of human contact. We are teaching her the value of humans in preparation for her forever home. We don’t know much about her past, but since we have had her, she will walk on a leash and rarely has she had an accident in the house. With no social or human interaction, every day is a learning experience, but she is making great strides. Given her history as a hoarded dog, she is a flight risk. We would prefer a home with a fenced in yard. She would do better in a home with other animals, as she is not confident yet with humans. She does great with other dogs, and seems to also be ok with cats, making her a great companion dog. She shows absolutely no signs of aggression, but would do better in a home without young children as chaotic situations tend to scare her. Daisy recently had some teeth removed, but is otherwise in good health. She shows some interest in chewy toys, but really just likes the chill and cuddle with her foster sister. Do you have it in your heart to give this poor dog the love and attention she so desperately needs? Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Daisy is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.
