Each day Cameo gets more bold and travels around her foster mom's house. She sits and watches while she cooks in the kitchen. She races around the house with another foster cat and wrestles with him. She is letting me pick her up and carry her around although she isn't real fond of holding for long. She chirps like a bird and talks to me. Once I pick her up and rub her little head and neck, she leans into me for more and begins to purr. She loves to chase the red light and pounces on it. In early August she returned back to her original foster who has other cats in her foster room. She needed a few days in her condo to acclimate. She then ventured out and explored the room. She does snuggle into a hiding spot but is exploring more each day. At mealtime she is with the group checking out the dinner selection. She really needs at least another cat to help her acclimate quicker to a new home. Cameo was initally found as part of a TNR program, but once we realized how sweet and friendly she is, we knew it would be best for her to go into a rescue. She loves rolling around on her back and looking out the window and chattering at birds and squirrels! With more time, Cameo will become less and less shy, and her foster is convinced she will be the sweetest pet! Whoever adopts her will need to understand they need to work on her time. We call it baby steps. It is such a joy to see her get acclimated with a new change little by little. This cat tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is current on vaccines.
