Candy the Christmas kitty. Yep, I was found about a week before Christmas wandering around a lady's yard and kept going up on her porch. She made sure I had food and when it started to get cold, she was very upset that I was outside. She called the nice lady from Castaway to see if she could help me. So that is how I am now a Castaway foster with her! I was very thin, had no winter coat and was covered in fleas. She took care of me and now I am ready to be in a safe warm and loving home. I get along with the other 2 cats in the foster room even though I do give them a hiss once in awhile. Since I am a calico, that is what I do! I am new here and small and feel a bit awkward with them yet. They are very nice to me so I know they won't hurt me even though I am small. I am learning to play with toys and I love to jump in a cardboard box and bat the toys around that are in it. I love to use the scratchers and show my foster mom how good I am using them. I sit on her lap for a bit, but then jump down to explore. I love my canned food and eat very well for her. I am fine with getting combed and having my claws clipped. My litterbox habits are very good. I hardly make a mess with the litter. How did I get my name? Well, the lady who found me is named Candy. And then my foster dad looked at me and said that kitty looks like butterscotch and chocolate! That clinched it for my foster mom! Everybody loves Candy! This cat has been spayed, tested negative and is up to date on vaccines.
