Contact Ginger's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Cheryl (clcrider@comcast.net)
Ginger is a 3-year-old chi who came to a WV shelter after her owner died. Ginger is small, 9.1 pounds, but she is afraid of men and of children. Maybe because of her small size or maybe because of previous experiences, she thinks she is in danger from them and reacts with growls and snaps. The male workers at the shelter have "won her over." Ginger is good with other dogs (roams with several small dogs in the lobby) and most of the women that she meets. (Occasionally there will be a woman she doesn't trust, too!) When children come, Ginger goes into the office! Her adoption donation includes spaying, vaccinations, implanting of a microchip, application of flea meds and worming. Ginger is in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting her. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.
