Iris can't understand why she is still at her foster home. She loves her foster parents but really would like a home with less kittys and more attention! She is a friendly girl and gives kitty loving to any visitors at her foster home. If they sit long enough, she will crawl up on their lap for pets and purrs. She has been healthy for months now that everything is healed in her mouth. She gained weight and is a soft furry plump girl now. Iris had a rough beginning but has rallied through everything and is ready for a home. She had a terrible immune issue that made her have a painful mouth problem. It is called stomatitis. To give her relief and comfort, we had to have all of her teeth extracted. Her comfort level has improved so much and it is like we have a different cat here now. She can eat dry food with no problem and actually prefers it over canned food. She plays with the laser light and many times amuses herself throwing toy mice up in the air. She likes to be around some of the resident cats and engages some of them to play chase. She is very quiet and calm and when she gets tired, she asks to lay on my lap for a snooze. After a few minutes I get to hear a very soft purr. Sometimes she crawls on the recliner with my husband and curls up for a nap with him. The dental Vet said she might need medication from time to time if her condition flares up, but those flare ups could be very seldom. Since her mouth has healed from surgery and all the meds are done, she has not needed anything. It is well worth this possiblity to have a sweet and calm kitty in your life. She adores being petted and brushed. More about IrisGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Other Pictures of Iris (click to see larger version):
