Emmie Lou is a wow cat! I really think she lives to sit on laps. She's also the perfect litter box user, is calm and gentle, and has a personality as cute as she looks. She was found in a trap during a humane TNR project on Maclay St. in Harrisburg, so she was taken to a clinic where it was discovered that she was already spayed. She was vaccinated and returned to her neighborhood. But when she continued to hang out there and was so friendly and affectionate, Castaway Critters approved her trapper (me) to take her into foster care. And what a joy she has been! She hissed at the other cats in her new home for a few days, but now she mostly ignores them. When she has competition for her foster mom's lap, she'll either patiently wait her turn or find another place to hang out until the lap is available. Then she'll make her move. Lap sitting definitely seems to be Emmie Lou's favorite hobby. In addition to being spayed, current on her shots, and microchipped, she also tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
