Toby is a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. This breed isn't a common breed and originates down south. They are a very active and social breed and are protective of their home and family. They require lots of stimulation to keep them out of trouble, but most make great family dogs if properly trained. Toby seems somewhat shy around men and needs a little socialization in that area but he does fine with other dogs, women and children. It is probably best to research the Catahoula breed on the internet before considering Toby for adoption. Although we have found that most the Catahould traits presented on the websites usually don't apply to the mixed breeds. The mixed breed Catahoulas are usually a little easier to handle and we have had great success in finding them loving homes. Toby will need a home where he has lots of space so if you have a huge area for him to run or can make sure he gets lots of energetic play-time, please consider him for adoption. He will be a wonderful addition to your family.
