If you think tuxedos are the best cats in the world, Magic will not disappoint! He's very affectionate and friendly and is a great lap cat. He doesn't just sit on my lap; he snuggles in like a baby. Sometimes he tries to get on my lap when it's already taken, and no matter what the existing cat does -- hiss, bat , whatever -- Magic never does anything in return. I think he was somewhat intimidated by the other cats at first because he's not aggressive. Since then, he's become a bit of a cat chaser. The young, playful cats like it, the other cats not so much. So he may make a fun playmate for a cat who's looking for one but not a good choice for an older, laid back cat.
Magic was a stray in the city of Harrisburg in a big cat colony whose caretaker passed away. While remaining family members were willing to continue to care for the cats, they hoped for help in getting some of them placed. Castaway Critters had known the caretaker for many years as a true friend to the cats in a particularly poor section of the city and wanted to give back some of what she had given to the stray cats in her neighborhood. The family chose Magic as one of the ones to come to Castaway Critters because of his wonderfully-affectionate personality. Magic is neutered, current on his vaccines, and microchipped and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. For more information about Magic, contact his foster mom Annette (that's me) in Harrisburg at alr20@comcast.net.
