My foster family calls me Ember because my black coat has shiny red hues with patches of ashy white about my nose, chest, and at the very tip of my tail. Although I was very frightened of everyone and all these new places, I learned my new name in just one day. Everyday I get more confident, but I'm still very shy around new people, so I hope that who ever adopts me will realize that it just takes me a while to warm up after all I have been through. Just to make matters worse, I have been having "that time of year" female issues, which I hear will be permanently taken care of before I get adopted. Despite all this, I have remembered my toilet training, I walk well on a leash or stay by my foster's side without a leash, I wait patiently in the car when my foster runs errands, I am always gentle, and I always come when I am called. I am still working on staying alone for long periods; everyday my foster mom makes me stay alone just a little bit longer and I have been very good so far( just a little crying sometimes), even though I get scared about being deserted. I am just 2 years old, so I have lots of life and love to share. Call my foster mom, Carol at 582-3332 to see how I am progressing if you could be my special person.
